LCM PLUS has recently begun a project in Melrose where we will be installing new entry steps & landings to a beautiful home. Like many in Melrose, the house is situated on a challenging grade with the structure far above street level. Visible in the photo we see there is certainly ledge stone protruding from the grade for which homeowners had expressed trepidation; As the existing entry stairs are along the left side of the home with the driveway & garage along the right side of the home. Currently, there is no dedicated access from the driveway to the existing stairs without traversing the lawn or exiting to the street, each hazardous in its own right come wintertime. LCM PLUS has commenced digging into the rise and installing steps along the right side.
Proposed are attractive New England Fieldstone steps to match the foundation. LCM PLUS will create terraces by installing & turning landings along the descent from the home. Bluestone treads will polish the traditional look and the Thermal finish provide traction in icy conditions. With the steps exiting along the right, access to the driveway & garage will be much improved.

LCM PLUS happily updates this post with the finished product. LCM PLUS completed the stunning New England Fieldstone walls & Thermal Bluestone steps along with a new walkway and the inclusion of landscape lighting. Once the walls and steps were complete wrought iron railings were installed alongside the solid brass landscape lighting fixtures. This beautiful project is a 
cumulative example of form & function executed to the highest of standards. Weathering a Boston winter will be a little easier for these happy homeowners this year with the illuminated and safer steps.
